Save the Children

Rick and Robin Moe Episode 55

Robin has been thinking about children who do not get to be born. Children whose lives are taken. The children who are ripped apart. Her main attitude over the years has been one of resolution that abortion is wrong. She never remembers crying over the children before but lately the issue has brought her to tears. She heard on a prophetic word that we need to speak up for the children. We need to save the children.

Robin listen to a man from the Catholic church who talked about the baby’s bodies being torn apart. Their blood is shed on their mothers and the hands of the nurses and doctors. And it made Robin really sad. She thought of the story of Cain and Able and God saying to Cain that the blood of your brother is crying out to me. Why would the blood be crying out? God hears the blood? Then, Robin read some verses that talked about the life-blood inside of us. We all have that life-blood. She looked up in the internal that the blood vessels and blood cells start to develop in a fetus within 15-18 days. A single blood cell would be enough to be life-blood for a child. Their blood is crying out and the Lord says He hears the cries of the innocent.

Women who miscarry wanted their baby more than anything. They grief the loss of the child and grieving is healthy and important. But those who have aborted their children probably many haven’t grieved or taken the time to think about that the life of the baby is gone. Robin’s sadness included those women too who have had abortions. Racheal’s vineyard is a Catholic retreat for those who have had abortions. You can name your children, have a funeral for them, say good-by to them, and you can find peace in your heart for the loss of your child. There are places where you can go and properly grieve.

Rick recalls a story after he was a youth pastor, he had taken a driving instructor position to make some extra money. Out of the blue, his young gal student asked him if God could forgive murder? She was probably 15 years old. He said, of course God does forgive anything. But he asked her if she was talking about abortion. She said that she had an abortion. Then he asked her to pull over the car because she started to cry. He began to minister to her the words of God. He spoke about in Revelation how one day God will wipe every tear away. She was deeply affected by this, carrying the pain and guilt. He told her of the love and forgiveness of God. That she needed to confess her sins to God.

Without trusting in the Lord, how can you really get through anything in life. Ps 72:122, “For He (the Messiah) will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death, He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in His sight.” We know that our Savior shed His blood for us. If it wasn’t for the blood of Jesus there would have been no forgiveness of sins. Maybe you have shed innocent blood; but Jesus shed His blood for you to forgive you, to take away your sin and make you clean and whole. He is there to walk you through the aftermath of decisions of regret. When you come to Him and accept Him in your heart and ask for forgiveness, He will renew your life and you can trust Him and move forward.

Rick remembers when he was first old enough to vote. He looked at all the candidates and what they believed and what they stood for. It all came down to one thing. He was going to vote for the people who are pro-life. We need to vote to save the children. It makes it so simple. When this election rolls around. If they are pro-choice, then they aren’t even to be considered. You have to vote for people who will fight and stand for the unborn.

Rick and Robin don’t believe this is about politics. It is about life and death, right and wrong. What is right to do in the eyes of God.

Recorded on in beautiful autumn day in the Midwest. With this episode, Robin wants to talk about something that has been on her heart for several weeks and that is why the episode is called, “Save the Children.”

Robin is not sure whether it is about the upcoming election or about the new Supreme Count judge being nominated but she has been thinking about children who do not get to be born. The children whose lives are taken. The children who are ripped apart. Man tried to soften that act by calling it abortion.

Robin’s main attitude over the years has been one of resolution that abortion is wrong. Her attitude lately in my heart has recently brought her to tears. Never remembers crying over the children but has been moved several times over the past few weeks.

No surprise that Rick and I are against abortion. Maybe for some it is but we have been pro-life since the late 1970s. People will take a stand that in some cases you have to allow for it. It is a woman’s body, it is her choice. There is a string of one-liners that say abortion is needed in the case of rape, incest, or for the life of the mother; but we believe that abortion is wrong 100% of the time. We are radical that we need to let God decide on life or death. If something tragic happens, one of the hardest things on earth, then it is truly horrible and gut wrenching but a person still doesn’t get to decide of another lives or dies.

Heard on a prophetic word that we need to speak up for the children we need to save the children. Many cry that Roe vs Wade has to stay, if it gets repealed, it would have us go backwards. If there ever was a time for backwards, it is one this one and right now. It never should have been allowed to happen back then. We should do everything in our power to repeal it right now. It is not about going backwards but it is about righting a moral wrong. It is a mortal sin to kill somebody, to cause their blood to be shed.

Women who miscarry wanted their baby more than anything. They grief the loss of the child and grieving is healthy and important. But those who have aborted their children probably many haven’t grieved or taken the time to think about that the life of the baby is gone. Robin’s sadness included those women who have had abortions.

Racheal’s vineyard is a Catholic retreat for those who have had abortions. You can name your children, have a funeral for them, say good-by to them, and you can find peace in your heart for the loss of your child. There are places where you can go and properly grieve.

You would never forget the date the child was aborted, the date the child was conceived, and the date the child would have been born. Women never forget those dates. Robin has never had an abortion so her knowledge here is based on those things she has heard from others. Robin is really sad for the kids. Rick says this issue is dead sobering. It is so tragic. It is so horrible.

Rick can remember several events regarding this issue. He remembers when he was 15, not a believer and on fire for Jesus or alive in the Holy Spirit yet in 1975, a girl in his class told about how she had gone out of state to have an abortion. He remembers her odd countenance. It was like the light in her was gone. He had never even heard of the word abortion until then. All he could think of was that you shouldn’t kill another being. He didn’t care what led up to it or the attitude she and her friends had. The child had been conceived and hadn’t been born yet. The child was alive. It left a mark inside of him that day.

Murder is the kind of thing that is a part of God’s laws. It is a thing that we know in our heart that is wrong. All societies say that murder is wrong. Internally we know inside, what things are right and wrong. We know theft, cheating, and lying is wrong. We know these things deep inside because God created that in us.

They have tried for many years to dehumanize that child but as medical science gets better, the sonograms get clearer. you cannot deny that the child. The heart is beating and the blood is flowing. It is a child, God created that child, and it carries its own life-blood. Right or wrong, the child is there. It is valuable to God whether the woman considers it valuable or not.

Seven years after the incident in his classroom, Rick being a youth pastor for several years, having been to bible school and had started several ministries that reached out to young people, he hadn’t dealt with the abortion issue until one day, as Rick was a driving instructor. His young gal student asked him if God could forgive murder? She was probably 15-16 years old. He told her of the love or God and the forgiveness of God. That she needed to confess her sins to God. She must have known that he was a pastor for her to feel free to open up about the subject and he just ministered to her.

The third event, happened while he was speaking in a school classroom. He was sharing his story and he never shared about abortion. He talked about drugs and alcohol and teen pregnancy. One gal asked him if he was against abortion. Instead of starting a debate to fight with her, he asked what her beliefs were. She said she hated people like Rick. In a vengeance, she said that she could just kill him. And Rick said that her response didn’t surprise him. It would be no different to kill Rick and to kill an unborn baby. That is when it really became evident to Rick. No other topic that Teen Rescue talked about caused anyone to be angry. This is the one issue, if you bring it out, you will have enemies right now. Satan hates mankind. He hates us.

If a woman has had an abortion, unless she has had a chance to deal with it, she is going to want to hold on to the fact it is my body and I got to do what I want with it and to desensitize herself from the fact that it was a child. That way she can live with herself. The other way will bring pain and tears. But it is better for the woman to confess and shed the tears than it is to hold it in and not grieve or get release. Not lay down the sin and give it to Jesus. We need to create an environment where people can do that. We have to shout from the rooftops not to do it but also be there to accept the confession.

And with that, the decision of not aborting, not taking the life of the innocent needs to come in trusting the Lord from that moment on. And making that decision that you are not going to take a life. Most kids view abortion as getting rid of a problem. Your life is going change and, yes,it is going to change because having sex out of marriage is not God’s intended way. It really isn’t what is best for the child. But there are too many stories of women who have decided not to have the abortion and now have this wonderful relationship with the child. Yes, raising a child is hard but the child is such a blessing. Or there are so many people where you can give the child up for adoption. There are good options. Abortion is not a good option.

Rick has known several women who have had abortion that have shared their stories traveling with Teen Rescue. One in particular, had three abortions. Each time her mom would drive her to the abortion clinics. When she would come to her parents pregnant, they would just say that they had to take care of this. These are the words that she heard.

The percentage of rape cases from the 1.2 billion is 1.3%. There are billions of other scenarios who use it more like using it more basically for contraception. They don’t want a child to mess up their life plans.

No matter the reason, you need to start with Jesus. Without trusting in the Lord, how can you really get through anything in life. You can push your way through and make it to the end to your last breath. Robin reads from Ps 72:122, “For He (the Messiah) will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death, He will rescue them from oppression and violence, for precious is their blood in His sight.” We know that our Savior shed His blood for us. If it wasn’t for the blood of Jesus there would have been no forgiveness of sins. Maybe you have shed blood by allowing your baby to be killed; but Jesus shed His blood for you to forgive you, to take away your sin and make you clean and whole. He is there to walk you through the aftermath of decisions that are made that you may have regretted making. He loves you and when you come to Him and accept Him in your heart and ask for forgiveness, He will renew your life and you can trust Him and move forward.

We need more women who have gone through this process and who can share more boldly not to walk down that path. It is a very difficult path. Don’t do it. It is a harder path than having your baby. It may not seem like it outwardly but inwardly it will change the trajectory of your life. We need to all take a greater stand.

Robin feels like she has been fighting this battle all her life and now she is almost 60 years old. The fight isn’t over and we have to keep standing firm. Whatever happens in our country, we cannot stop fighting this battle. This is too important, it is too horrific. It truly is a violent, brutal act on a human being. We wouldn’t let anyone rip apart an arm, or a leg, or crush a head. Or take the life of a puppy. An eagle egg is considered more precious than a heart-beating baby. It is all messed up.

It is the lies and deceit of the enemy. If you have had an abortion, you were probably deceived into thinking that it was a good and viable option. So many others have done it. It is like a secret that people don’t talk about.

Rick shares one last thing. He remembers when he was first old enough to vote. He looked at all the candidates and what they believed and what they stood for. It all came down to one thing. He was going to vote for the people who are pro-life. We need to vote to save the children. It makes it so simple. When this election rolls around. If they are pro-choice, then they aren’t even on the ballot for you or even be considered. The box you check or the hole you punch is like punching for death and murderous acts. You have to vote for pro-life candidates. People who will fight and stand for the unborn.

We all have to do this together, especially if you are a believer. It is so huge if you are a Christian and love God. God loves life. Don’t be ashamed and proclaim if you are pro-life. God will bless the families that stand up and proclaim, “We need to save the children.”

Rick and Robin don’t believe this is about politics. It is about life and death, right and wrong. What is right to do in the eyes of God. We are feeling more committed and not to be silent. We don’t know what it is all going to look like; but this our platform and this is where we begin. You have to believe that this is just another part of a radical life.
